Weir is hiring a Division SHE Manager for Southern Europe and North Africa, located in Spain (Seville/Madrid) with regional travel. Onsite work arrangement with travel across the region.

You will lead the deployment of SHE strategies, drive a zero-harm safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide regional support to multiple sites. Strong leadership, communication, and NEBOSH qualifications are preferred.

Formación

  • Formal qualification in SHE management (bachelor's degree preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven experience managing SHE across multiple sites in a regional capacity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior management and diverse teams.
  • Passionate about building and maintaining an engaging, safety-first culture with high ethical standards.

Responsabilidades

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and execute the deployment of Weir Group and EMEA SHE Strategy across Southern Europe and North Africa, ensuring active participation by all Senior Leaders and stakeholders.
  • Culture Change: Drive and embed a multi-strand strategic culture change through the Zero Harm Behaviour Framework, communicating effectively at all organisational levels from executives to shop floor.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: Provide risk-based strategic and tactical support to the Senior regional team, Regional and General Managers, and employees; ensure SHE and legal compliance across all sites.
  • Performance Monitoring: Report on SHE KPIs, identify trends, celebrate successes, and address areas needing improvement to maintain high safety standards.
  • Hazard Control: Ensure rigorous risk assessment and accident management systems are in place to identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Regional Support and Travel: Visit and support sites across Southern Europe and North Africa, with a minimum of 6-7 trips per year including regular travel between Madrid and Seville.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with site managers and senior management, including sub-regional MDs and sales directors, to maintain strong reporting and operational support.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you'll do

What you'll bring
Must-haves:
  • Formal qualification in SHE management (bachelor's degree preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven experience managing SHE across multiple sites in a regional capacity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior management and diverse teams.
  • Passionate about building and maintaining an engaging, safety-first culture with high ethical standards.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Certification such as NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications relevant to different countries.
  • Background in psychology or wellbeing programmes, including mental health first aider certification.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, hospitality, or mining.
  • Ability to stand in for senior managers when required, demonstrating leadership versatility.
