This unit ensures the proper functioning of the laboratories and shared areas at VHIR.Its mission is to support research staff and to manage and supervise all common-use zones, including cell culture rooms, shared equipment rooms, freezer rooms, centrifuge rooms, among others.The unit also provides laboratory material sterilization services and manages technical support for equipment-related incidents.Education and qualifications :
Required :
Advanced vocational training in laboratory science (CFGS / FPII) or a degree in a related scientific discipline.Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (B1 / B2)Desired :

Ensure the proper functioning of common rooms :
common equipment rooms, culture rooms, cryopreservation rooms, etc.Detect incidents (notification and follow-up)Supervise the established orderPerform preventive maintenance on shared equipmentCulture rooms :
Supervise equipment and manage incidentsAllocate common spaces to research groupsAttend follow-up meetingsCarry out tasks assigned during preventive shutdownsSupervise the condition of rotors and centrifugesSupervise the condition of consumable materials (adapters)Ensure proper use of the equipment and manage password assignments for the ultracentrifugeCryopreservation room :
Assign new liquid nitrogen storage positionsSupervise the established orderCold room :
Supervise order and internal organizationDaily monitoring of the temperature control systemUpdate contact persons in case of incidentSupervise the established orderSupport researchers regarding the use of shared equipment, accessories, manuals and othersEvaluate offers and quotes for the purchase of shared equipmentReceive and commission new shared equipmentSupport the organization of training sessions for new equipment and internal training at VHIRWaste management :
Contact person with the waste management company, advising on the waste declassification system, label management, etc.Organize and advise on the use of safety cabinets for chemical productsUpdate and draft SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and copies of manualsPlace orders for materials with various suppliersCollaborate in guided tours and welcome sessionsSupport relocationsOn-call duty (remote assistance for incidents outside working hours across all areas), once initial training is completed and competencies are consolidated (about 1 year)Ensure compliance with current regulations and legislation in laboratoriesEnsure that activities are carried out in accordance with the internal requirements established by the Unit's quality system.
