About the Role

The Services Engagement Director for Professional Services provides leadership in identifying strategic business opportunities to generate revenue and meet sales objectives. We seek an expert with the ability to recognize opportunities, negotiate, and close deals successfully.

What You’ll Do

The Services Engagement Director is responsible for implementing business development strategies, identifying new opportunities, maintaining key relationships, building Statements of Work, and closing deals. The role includes quarterly financial targets such as bookings and project profitability, essential for achieving revenue goals and building a consulting services backlog.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate trusted, long-term partnerships, serve as a strategic advisor, anticipate customer needs, and proactively drive initiatives to enhance their experience.
  2. Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute success plans with customers, identify new opportunities, and communicate progress and strategic recommendations effectively.
  3. Business and Financial Acumen: Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L responsibilities, and collaborate on revenue strategies.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Understand and communicate technical aspects of Genesys Cloud and SaaS offerings.
  5. Contract and Negotiation Skills: Manage scope, pricing, SLAs, change orders, and negotiate terms effectively.
  6. Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Diagnose issues, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Communication and Presentation Skills: Convey ideas clearly, prepare reports, and communicate with executive leadership.
  8. Project and Program Management: Oversee service delivery, coordinate teams, and ensure projects meet objectives.
  9. Customer-Centric Mindset: Focus on delivering value, exceeding expectations, and aligning services with client goals.
  10. Leadership and Team Management: Manage and mentor team members, foster collaboration, and promote knowledge sharing.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in computer technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years in a business setting, with at least 8 years in customer-facing sales within solutions or telecommunications.
  • Experience in sales, especially Professional Services sales; familiarity with Genesys solutions is a plus.
  • Project or program management experience, with certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Italian or Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in sales, lead generation, and relationship management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and presentations.
