What we look for?
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Service Manager to lead its back-office financial reporting service. This role involves managing a geographically dispersed team of Reporting Analysts based in Spain and India, who are responsible for gathering financial data, creating reports, and disseminating them to clients. The Service Manager will be critical in ensuring that financial reports are delivered on time and with accuracy , while anticipating potential risks, mitigating issues, and performing well under pressure. Additionally, the role will involve driving automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors in the reporting process. The project is with a leading global asset management company .
High English level is required.
100% remote position for people located in Spain.
- Lead and manage a team of Reporting Analysts across two locations (Spain and India), providing a clear direction with clear communication and alignment with reporting goals; ensuring high quality and performance as key aspects.
- Oversee the creation of financial reports from data collection to final dissemination as per the reporting delivery dates, ensuring that all reports meet client specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality controls.
- Anticipate and lead the resolution of any challenges and potential risks that may arise during the reporting process, escalating issues to senior management when necessary to ensure timely action. Adjust resources and allocation to achieve key milestones without any impact.
- Manage the team’s capacity effectively, balancing workloads to meet report delivery dates and optimizing resource allocation across locations.
- Lead the implementation of automation solutions to streamline the financial reporting process, reduce manual workload, and minimize the risk of errors by working with IT and automation teams to evaluate and implement best automated alternatives.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding financial reporting, ensuring proactive and efficient communication to properly manage expectations.
- Consistently deliver high-quality reports and maintain exceptional service levels.
- Maintain detailed documentation of reporting processes, workflows, and automation implementations, ensuring transparency and consistency in report generation.
- Track progress on all financial reports, ensuring timelines are met and that reports are completed with accuracy and attention to detail. Continuously monitor and report on team performance against KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- Knowledge in financial services or back-office operations, with experience in managing teams and able to work with tight deadlines under pressure.
- Proven experience managing remote teams, especially across multiple locations (Spain and India), in a financial reporting environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and senior management effectively and diplomatically.
- English C1 at least (both written and spoken).
- Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is a plus.
- Experience implementing automation technologies (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, AI-based solutions) to optimize reporting processes is highly preferred.
- Experience with Excel (macros, dynamic tables…).
