Signify in Madrid is seeking a Service Engineer/Technical Designer Intern to join the S&S team. The role involves managing Service Cost Calculations for Life Cycle Services based on customer requirements and Signify Service Policies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Electrical, or Business, with strong skills in Excel and fluency in English and Spanish. Join us to help light up the future.

We are looking for a Service Engineer/Technical Designer Intern to join our S&S team in Madrid.

Your team

You will be part of the S&S Services Europe team located in Madrid. The team takes the responsibility to design systems and services proposals, execute them and hand over to the markets for lifecycle activities. As part of the team you will play a fundamental role in executing accurate and reliable calculations, engaging with both the Business Services and the Markets in Europe.

What You’ll Do

In this challenging role, you will manage Service Cost Calculations for Life Cycle Services. You will do this based on customer requirements and Signify Service Policies. Also, you will build an understanding of and vision on services concepts. Furthermore, you will:

• Present results to the Service Manager/Proposal Manager / Market and explain Terms & Conditions as well as benefits of the service proposal
• Support the Service Manager in:
  • Professional services external business case elaboration and end‑to‑end data consolidation from audit raw data to the determination of service cost/selling figures
  • Preparation and calculations in the area of EPC and Light as a Service (LaaS) proposals
• Participate in the hand over from the Systems Center to the Customer Satisfaction team in the market
• Drive risk management in close cooperation with the Service Manager / Proposal Manager
• Enable execution of the service propositions
• Clarify & manage requirements towards Customer Satisfaction teams and vice versa
• Understand market trends & customer needs for services
• Support the markets in articulating the benefits and concept of the advanced service offering
• Support the (LaaS) department with calculations.

You will also participate in the creation and maintenance of the tools to automate the team work. Efficient mindset, focus on continuous improvement and open mind for changes are key.

Your Qualifications

Ideally, you have a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Electrical or Business area.

• You are capable to understand customer requirements and Signify Service Policies
• Organized and focused person able to manage different items in a calculation
• Very good domain of Excel
• A person willing to work on a multi‑cultural environment
• Solid understanding of project execution and stakeholder roles at all stages of the value chain
