You play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients.

As an Electromechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for installation, calibration, and commissioning activities at the Proton Therapy site, focusing on electromechanical equipment in the Treatment Room.

You will work in a team of approximately nine people and report to the Site Manager.

Challenges we trust you with

As an Electromechanical Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• During the installation phase (11 months):
• Participating in the installation of IBA equipment and technical tools, focusing on electromechanical systems (electrical and electronics cabinets, cooling systems, vacuum systems, high and low voltage equipment, etc.)
• Testing and validating equipment to meet specifications and customer requirements for compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing
• Analyzing data to diagnose potential technical issues
• Collaborating with subcontractors during installation and commissioning to supervise setup until startup
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
• Ensuring the deployment of state-of-the-art technologies and services

• During the Customer Service phase:
• Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
• Operating systems and providing technical support to medical staff during treatments and clinical operations
• Meeting client requirements related to performance, timing, and safety
• Training customers
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance (shift work)
• Collaborating with R&D to upgrade and improve systems

What we value

You have:

• Relevant experience in electronics, electrical systems troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair, and operation of large systems, including tools like cooling and vacuum systems, PLCs, regulation loops, sensors, electric motors, and high/low voltage equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills for large systems
• Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations

• Proactive and hands-on
• Able to follow rules and meet strict deadlines
• Analytical, with ability to identify root causes
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel extensively during training (4 months)
• Flexible, willing to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends (up to 50%)
