Formación

  • Experiencia en entorno industrial y en sistemas grandes.

IBA, the global leader in proton therapy, is partnering with the Spanish Ministry of Health to install ten state-of-the-art proton therapy systems across Spain in the coming 4 years, thanks to support from the Amancio Ortega Foundation.

We’re looking for talented technical professionals to join our teams on permanent contracts.

You’ll be grouped into a team and commit to the installation of at least two proton therapy units at different locations, including Santiago de Compostela, San Sebastian, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Madrid (La Paz and Fuenlabrada), Valencia, and Gran Canaria.

Mission

You play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients.

As Cyclotron Service Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy site, focusing on the cyclotron subsystem.

As part of the project, you will be responsible for potentially 2 or 3 installations in a row. The entire project is scheduled to take approximately 30 months with a training period planned before the first installation. The first installation, based in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia), is expected to be completed within 12 months, starting in October 2025, with possible adjustments to the start date.

Our HR team will support you in your relocation to your second location.

Challenges we trust you with

As Service Engineer Cyclotron, you are responsible for:

  • Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the cyclotron subsystem equipment.
  • Performing the cyclotron subsystem calibration following procedures.
  • Testing and validating the equipment according to specifications, ensuring compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing.
  • Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems.
  • Collaborating intensively during the installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of the equipment.
  • Troubleshooting the equipment, including solving electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services.

  • Preferably previous experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong technical experience in Proton Therapy or a specific subsystem with key strengths in practical application.
  • The ability to troubleshoot large systems issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is an asset.
