MERMEC is seeking a Service Account Engineer and Field Operations Coordinator in Madrid. The role requires hands-on leadership to drive project execution, coordinate a dispersed team of technicians and subcontractors, and ensure customer satisfaction across Spain.

Formación

  • Six years of experience in electronics, automotive, railway, or oil & gas industries.
  • Fluent Spanish and English in writing and speaking.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within Spain.
  • Based in Madrid, with access to client sites and operations.

Responsabilidades

  • Achieve targets and meet contract deadlines.
  • Coordinate and schedule the team and on-site activities, including logistics.
  • Plan and monitor all activities required for contract execution.
  • Interact with the Italian team during warranty and commissioning phases.
  • Act as the on-site customer point of contact throughout the project duration.
  • Provide technical advisory support to customers.
  • Manage field spare parts and tools.
  • Propose product and process improvements with a 360-degree view.
  • Support team training and professional development.
  • Manage and monitor team performance.

Descripción del empleo

The Service Account Engineer and Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for achieving operational and maintenance expectations and KPIs related to projects in Spain.

The role requires a hands-on and proactive approach in a start-up environment involving a new project and a newly established team, leading activities from the front while coordinating and planning the work of employees and subcontractors.

The resource will work in close collaboration with the Italian Service Account Engineer for training and coordination activities.

Operational activities will require availability to work night shifts and weekends, as well as willingness to travel throughout the country.

The resource manages customers' technical and operational needs by establishing effective relationships, meeting their requirements, and agreeing on priorities and action plans.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve targets and meet contract deadlines.
  • Coordinate and schedule the team and on-site activities, including logistical aspects.
  • Plan and monitor all activities required for contract execution.
  • Interact with the Italian team during warranty and commissioning phases.
  • Act as the on-site customer point of contact throughout the project duration.
  • Provide technical advisory support to customers.
  • Manage and control, through the coordinated team members, field spare parts and tools.
  • Propose product and process improvements, where appropriate, with a 360-degree perspective.
  • Support team training and professional development.
  • Manage and monitor team performance.
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience
  • Strong technical background in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in similar roles within the electronics, automotive, railway, or oil & gas industries.
  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English (mandatory requirement), with strong communication skills.
  • Organized, results-oriented, reliable, capable of working under pressure, and possessing a strong continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to make a significant effort to acquire in-depth knowledge of Mermec systems and internal processes.
  • Customer-focused approach aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting company profitability.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

IT Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Operating system installation and configuration.
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of major communication protocols.
  • Software installation and configuration.
  • Experience with measurement and data processing software.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW is considered an advantage.
Specialized Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of electronic devices, digital electronics, signal analysis and processing, metrology, and statistical data analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Diagnostic, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic technical tools.
  • Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
  • Knowledge of calibration and system tuning activities.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to organize and coordinate team members (technicians and operators) for service execution.
  • Availability to travel independently up to approximately 30% of the time within the assigned country.
  • Willingness to be based in Madrid.
Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL):

National agreement for Engineering Companies and Technical Design Offices, 12 monthly payments

Contract:

Full-time, permanent contract

Gross Annual Salary (RAL):

Between €50,000 and €55,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and skills
