We are seeking an experienced Senior Workplace Engineer specialized in modern desktop management to join our team. Together with the endpoint management service owner you will define and drive the service roadmap. You are subject matter expert in digital workplace services, you will apply you expertise in implementing new technologies and innovations, to continuously improve your service. Additionally, this role involves the management of end-to-end service delivery, ensuring the consistent provision of high-quality services to meet our business objectives. In this role you will also use your expertise to backup team colleagues in other services in the area of digital workplace.

You will collaborate with solutions architects from cross-functional teams and ensure that our technical solutions meet the needs of our stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of modern desktop management concepts & technologies, and also an very strong expertise of Microsoft solutions like Azure, Entra ID or Microsoft Configuration Manager.

As the Senior Workplace Engineer, you will also be responsible for managing external resources.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the technical design and implementation of Digital Workplace technologies, in alignment with Digital Workplace Architects.
  • Collaborate and work closely with regional teams to ensure the Endpoint management service is aligned with the needs of different areas of the business. This involves regular communication and coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Project Management : Lead in the planning, execution, and delivery of endpoint device management projects. Ensure adherence to best project management practices, facilitate iterative planning, and drive the team towards successful project completion.
  • External Resource Management : Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and contractors to operate the Device Management service roadmap. Manage relationships, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely and quality execution of tasks.
  • Service Management : Create and maintain service descriptions, collaborate with stakeholders to define the service future roadmap. Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure accurate implementation and successful deployment of Workplace solutions.
  • Product Documentation : Create comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training materials, to facilitate the adoption and understanding of Digital Workplace solutions by end-users, administrators, and support teams.
  • Operations : Oversee the day-to-day operations of Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune. Monitor the health and performance of the endpoint management infrastructure and apply compliance or remediation scripts.
  • Third-Level Ticket Resolution : Collaborate with the 2nd level support team and external partners to process incidents, problem and change tickets, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of complex endpoint management issues.

Requirements needed :

Education

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • While not mandatory, certifications can enhance your credentials and demonstrate your expertise in cloud and virtualization technologies. Some certifications that are recommended for this role : (one of them…)Microsoft 365 Certified : Endpoint Administrator AssociateITIL

Experience

  • Proven experience on Service Management & Project Management in an enterprise organization.
  • Proven experience with Windows modern desktop management & endpoint security concepts.
  • Experienced in Microsoft PowerShell automation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2).
  • Ability to manage external resources, vendors, and contractors effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in process improvement, establishing self-service capabilities, and driving operational efficiency.
