Nordex Group is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to develop and optimize wind turbine mechanical components, working with cross-functional teams worldwide. You will design drive trains and other systems, assess materials and coatings, and ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness while maintaining rigorous GD&T and drawing standards.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• At least two years of professional experience, preferably within wind energy.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, ideally drive trains.
• Experience with machining and manufacturing processes, preferably for large mechanical components.
• Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools, Siemens NX and Teamcenter preferred.
• Good understanding of GD&T and technical drawing standards.
• Good knowledge of materials and corrosion protection.
• Experience on design methodologies and concept development.
• Fluent English language skills and the ability to work effectively in international teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop mechanical components that are part of drive train and other systems using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Manage compliance with requirements, choice of materials and coatings and create relevant technical documentation.
• Evaluate machining and manufacturing processes, particularly for large-scale mechanical components.
• Investigate manufacturing deviations, quality issues and technical challenges and define corrective actions.
• Support Sourcing and Quality teams during supplier qualification and homologation activities.
• Apply GD&T principles and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and drawing standards.
• Collaborate with international teams on the continuous improvement of wind turbine mechanical systems.
