Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Wind Turbine Sensors & Controls Hardware Engineer to own end-to-end architecture for turbine and farm-level control systems. You will drive NPIs, cost-out initiatives, and technology to maximize AEP and fleet performance.

You will define hardware specs for sensors, I/O and cabinets, create documentation, run tests, and collaborate with suppliers on retrofits, with occasional site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechanical engineering or similar.
• Renewable energy emphasis preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in sensor, electrical, electronics, controls or power systems design.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Design the wind turbine controls hardware including sensors, I/O and communication hardware.
• Define specifications for sensors, communication systems and cabinets.
• Develop engineering documentation such as BOMs, drawings and instructions.
• Define test and validation requirements and support lab testing.
• Lead turbine component retrofits and supplier collaboration for upgrades.
• Support product development reviews and present design details to chief engineers.
