Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to shape wind power technology by tuning, optimizing, and validating control systems for turbines. You will collaborate with an international team of engineers across loads and aerodynamics, ensuring peak performance throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include technical ownership of tuning and validation, developing robust control strategies, planning SIL simulations, and supporting field validation of prototypes and fleet turbines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven experience in control tuning, optimization, and validation for wind turbines or similar dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and system dynamics to balance energy production and loads.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and simulation-based verification.
• Self-starter with excellent communication in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for tuning, optimizing, and validating wind turbine control systems.
• Collaborate with functionality teams to identify and evaluate improvements to control strategies.
• Tune and optimize control parameters for various turbine types and operating conditions.
• Plan and execute software-in-the-loop simulations to validate control functionalities and parameter settings.
• Support commissioning and field validation of prototypes and fleet turbines.
