Senior UX Writer

We’re looking for a Senior UX Writer to join the Verisure Design Group and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our digital ecosystem. This senior position is embedded within our R&D organization and will take a lead on the UX writing discipline & content strategy and support a team of UX Writers based in Madrid and Malmö.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for driving consistency in our content strategy, tools, and writing standards globally. You’ll guide the team in crafting clear, user-centered content for digital interfaces, instructional materials, and device manuals—setting the tone for how we communicate with customers globally, with English as the primary language.

You’ll lead content initiatives for our consumer applications, mentor and support UX Writers and translators, and collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and Designers to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the voice of Verisure’s customer-facing digital touchpoints and help scale our content for new markets as we continue to grow internationally. The focus for the role will initially encompass all digital touchpoints with the need to extend to other areas over time. This could include but is not limited to, printed materials such as manuals and quick start guides, product labels, and packaging.

We expect that you have extensive know-how of working as a UX Writer as well as experience setting up content strategy vision, propelling team members, catering for new and innovative ways of working both internally as well as towards stakeholders within a greater organisation.

You are a good communicator, both written and verbally preferably with some previous experience working in an international environment with several cultures and across multiple development sites.

Main Responsibilities

In this Senior UX Writer role, you will play a central role in shaping how Verisure communicates with its users across digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and nurture relationships with global business and process partners.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX designers, product owners, developers, and researchers to ensure cohesive and impactful communication across wearables, mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
• Partner with design leadership to drive change management initiatives and support the evolution of our UX writing practice.
• Guide and mentor a distributed team of UX Writers, fostering autonomy, growth, and excellence.
• Support hiring efforts and onboarding for the global design organization.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by introducing new tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Process & Quality Ownership

• Define and document internal workflows, tools, and standards to ensure consistency across teams and locations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of UX writing deliverables, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
• Actively identify and resolve communication challenges across teams and stakeholders.
• Own and evolve the content and localization strategy, ensuring scalable systems for managing large volumes of content.
• Lead content initiatives for consumer-facing applications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and tone of voice.
• Drive improvements in translation workflows and localization tools to support global market expansion.
• Champion the role of UX writing in delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Clearly articulate user needs from a content perspective and advocate for thoughtful, user-centered communication.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality content that meets project goals and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in UX writing, content strategy, or content design for digital products, apps, and websites.
• A university degree in a relevant field.
• Strategic thinking with a strong drive to evolve and scale content practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across cultures and distributed teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple localization and content projects simultaneously.
• International work experience is highly valued.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UX writing trends, tools, and best practices, with a passion for applying them to improve content creation workflows.
• Familiarity with content management and localization tools such as Adobe DAM, Label Editor, Lokalise, ANC, SiteVision, Confluence, and JIRA is a plus.
• Experience working within a product-focused organization.
• Exceptional command of written and spoken English. Fluency in Spanish (for Madrid-based role) or Swedish (for Malmö-based role) is a strong advantage.
