Job summary

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with proven experience in railway traction power discipline (7 years minimum).
• Must be able to communicate and fully develop projects in English.
• Etap software proficiency required.
• Experience with railway electrification (DC/AC), including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical substations.
• Development of technical specifications for electrical substation equipment.
• Electrical calculations for traction substations.
• Design and construction of grounding and bonding networks.
• Design, parameterization, testing and commissioning of protections in DC/AC railways.
• Knowledge of distributed control systems at substation level and CNS interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design development, risk assessment and value engineering for traction power systems.
• Lead and collaborate across disciplines; potentially lead a group of engineers.
• Develop design ideas and implement technical solutions to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Produce technical reports, specifications, liaise with BIM/CAD modellers for drawings and BoQ.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as CENELEC and ANSI, maintaining safety and quality.
