AECOM Spain Building Services Engineering Team in Madrid seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design activities for international projects. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sectors, ensuring high-quality electrical solutions for buildings and infrastructure.

The role emphasizes experience with medium- and low-voltage systems, North American codes (NFPA/NEC), and strong client interaction. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (Electrical Specialization), or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical design consultancy, engineering, or construction projects.
• Proven experience in the design of MV/LV electrical installations for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in sectors such as commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, airports, industrial facilities, data centers, or transportation infrastructure.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing technical interfaces.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Develop electrical designs for projects ranging from small-scale developments to large and complex international projects.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, and specialist disciplines.
• Make technical decisions and provide engineering guidance throughout all project phases.
• Plan and manage design activities, resources, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects.
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Attend client meetings, prepare technical proposals and presentations, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support project delivery during construction, including technical clarifications, design reviews, and site coordination when required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and best practices within the team.
