Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking an experienced engineer in Madrid to lead the electromechanical scope of substation projects. You will ensure system integrity and work across design, tender, and execution stages.

The role requires expertise in AIS/GIS substations, HV equipment knowledge, and strong collaboration with civil and EM teams. Travel up to 10% may be required; English fluency is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electromechanical design of substations (AIS and/or GIS).
• Solid knowledge of High Voltage Apparatus.
• BIM / 3D methodology knowledge is considered a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety and self-motivation for new technologies.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and knowledge of power systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead electromechanical scope to ensure substation system integrity and correct operation.
• Produce technical documentation for tender development and design phases.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and validate equipment.
• Coordinate 3D models and resolve interfaces between civil and electromechanical disciplines.
• Provide technical recommendations during design, engineering and execution phases.
• Support claims related to changes in primary scope with cost and schedule impacts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and leadership.
