Job summary

BOLD is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to validate the performance, safety and reliability of high‑voltage battery systems. You will design and execute advanced test plans, analyze results and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn engineering concepts into proven energy solutions.

You will develop DVPs, setup test benches and utilize CAN tools and data analysis to ensure complete coverage of validation activities, while guiding junior engineers and applying industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial, Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in testing or validation of HV systems, ideally in automotive, motorsport or aerospace.
• Experience with vibration and shock testing, accelerometers and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with HV battery systems testing, validation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and analyze validation tests to ensure performance, safety and reliability of HV battery systems.
• Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans (DVPs) linking requirements to tests.
• Set up and operate test benches and measurement systems (battery cyclers, climatic chambers, vibration/shock rigs, EMC, abuse tests).
• Use CAN tools and data analysis (CANalyzer, CANoe, PCAN, Python, Concerto, vSignalyzer).
• Collaborate with design, systems, hardware and software teams to diagnose issues and verify improvements.
• Apply testing standards and safety regulations from automotive, motorsport, aerospace and defense sectors.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation and data management in testing.
• Serve as a technical reference within Testing, mentoring junior engineers.
