Job summary

Skydance, a diversified media company, seeks a Senior Technical Support professional to join its IT team in Madrid. You will provide the necessary technical support and deliver an excellent employee experience across data center operations, cloud integrations, networking, and DevOps services.

You will resolve complex incidents, document solutions, and collaborate with engineers to keep systems secure and up to date while supporting a creative and production-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT departments.
• Experience with logging tools and ticketing management.
• Experience configuring and maintaining LANs, wireless networks, network electronics and IT security.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, support and maintenance of servers, networks, and devices.
• Configures hardware and software equipment.
• Documents and resolves employee queries and tickets, escalating when needed.
• Develops scripts to automate routine tasks and improve the environment.
• Monitors inventory of hardware and software and maintains security standards.
• Provides guidance and support to colleagues to foster growth in digital and artistic environments.

The Senior Technical Support is responsible providing the necessary technical support efficient ly and creating an excellent employee experience.

The IT team provides a wide range of services, including data center operations, cloud integrations, networking, large compute and storage farms, directory and communication services, backups, databases, DevOps, operating systems, mobile computing, technical support, and audio/visual/media services.

Responsibilities

• Performs the installation, support and maintenance of the servers , computer systems and wireless and local area networks.
• Performs the installation, configuration, layout and maintenance of hardware and software equipment.
• Solves, manages and documents employee queries, tickets and requests and develop other departmental administrative tasks.
• Solves most tickets in the first contact and otherwise escalates it .
• Configure mobile devices.
• Performs scripts in different languages (Power Shell, Python and VB Script) to improve and maintain the environment.
• Tests internal developments .
• Monitors and updates the inventory of hardware and software.
• Ensures that the quality standards required for the support service are met.
• Resolve s and assist s with incidents escalated by other Support Technician s.
• Keep s up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment .
• Works together with the team providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.
• Follows the S upervisor’s and L ead's guidance.

Requirements

• 5 + years in IT departments .
• Experience with logging tools and ticketing management .
• Experience in design, installation, diagnosis and maintenance of local area networks, wireless networks, network electronics and IT security .
• Knowledge and experience in the integration of new applications and new hardware in user equipment and inventory maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience in different OS: LINUX (Rocky, CentOS , , Ubuntu), OS X, Windows, Windows Server.
• High English level desirable.
• Spanish desirable.
