Job summary

Skydance Animation is seeking a Senior Technical Support professional to deliver efficient IT assistance and enhance the employee experience. The role spans server maintenance, networking, hardware/software config, and script-driven automation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT, experience with logging and ticketing, LAN/WAN expertise, and familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. Strong English is desirable; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT departments.
• Experience with logging tools and ticketing management.
• Experience in design, installation, diagnosis and maintenance of LANs/WANs and IT security.
• Knowledge of integrating new applications and hardware and inventory upkeep.
• Experience with Linux (Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu), OS X, Windows, Windows Server.
• High English level desirable; Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs the installation, support and maintenance of servers, computer systems and networks.
• Configures hardware and software equipment; documents employee queries and requests.
• Resolves most tickets at first contact; escalates when needed.
• Configures mobile devices.
• Writes scripts to improve and maintain the environment (PowerShell, Python, VB Script).
• Tests internal developments and monitors inventory of hardware and software.
• Ensures quality standards for the support service are met.
• Assists with incidents escalated by other Support Technicians.
• Keeps up on artistic methodologies and technology trends to strengthen the creative/technical environment.
• Provides guidance and instruction to team for growth.
• Follows Supervisor’s and Lead's guidance.

The Senior Technical Support is responsible providing the necessary technical support efficiently and creating an excellent employee experience.

The IT team provides a wide range of services, including data center operations, cloud integrations, networking, large compute and storage farms, directory and communication services, backups, databases, DevOps, operating systems, mobile computing, technical support, and audio/visual/media services.

Responsibilities

• Performs the installation, support and maintenance of the servers, computer systems and wireless and local area networks.

• Performs the installation, configuration, layout and maintenance of hardware and software equipment.

• Solves, manages and documents employee queries, tickets and requests and develop other departmental administrative tasks.

• Solves most tickets in the first contact and otherwise escalates it.

• Configure mobile devices.

• Performs scripts in different languages (Power Shell, Python and VB Script) to improve and maintain the environment.

• Tests internal developments.

• Monitors and updates the inventory of hardware and software.

• Ensures that the quality standards required for the support service are met.

• Keep s up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.

• Works together with the team providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years in IT departments.

• Experience with logging tools and ticketing management.

• Experience in design, installation, diagnosis and maintenance of local area networks, wireless networks, network electronics and IT security.

• Knowledge and experience in the integration of new applications and new hardware in user equipment and inventory maintenance.

• Knowledge and experience in different OS: LINUX (Rocky, CentOS,, Ubuntu), OS X, Windows, Windows Server.

• High English level desirable.

• Spanish desirable.
