General description

• FEM calculation of various structures to support the design of mechanical components and tooling on a multi-megawatt platform.
• Simulation and calculation for the development, design, and verification of steel constructions and mechanical components of wind turbines.
• Close cooperation and regular exchange with other development and specialist departments, component manufacturers, and certification bodies.
• Development of new concepts in compliance with valid standards and regulations, including interpretation and technology transfer to development teams.
• Development of structural components considering all life cycle phases (end-to-end) and support for root cause analysis of field issues.
• Development and documentation of calculation methods for continuous team improvement.

Profile

• Mandatory training in finite element method calculations.
• Excellent knowledge of analytics, statics, dynamics, and reliable abstraction of physical operating principles.
• Sound knowledge and experience in designing steel constructions and mechanical components for wind turbines, considering standards like EUROCODE.
• Knowledge of fatigue analysis methods and structural dynamics.
• Proficiency in programming and analysis tool development (MathCad, Matlab, Python).
• Flexibility, dynamism, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
• Optional: programming skills are desirable.
• Languages: English (required), German and Spanish (preferable).
• Experience: 5+ years in the wind turbine sector.
• Willingness to travel.
