A leading company in luxury hospitality design is seeking a remote Senior Structural Engineer. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and possess at least 8 years of relevant experience. You will lead the design of innovative structures for high-end villas and hotels while collaborating closely with clients and other designers.

Utopia Design is looking for a remote Senior Structural Engineer for Luxury Hospitality Projects. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 8 years' experience in leading the design development of innovative structural designs for complex geometry roofs, facades and cantilevering elements.

Responsibilities :

• Lead structural design development of high end luxury villas and hotels
• Collaborate on a daily basis with the internal design office, Client’s representatives, local designers and third party consultants
• Provide leadership and, if needed, mentorship to the internal design office and local designers, advising most cost efficient, modern and optimal structural design methods and practices
• Ensure seamless integration of the initial design intent
• Oversee designer’s, consultants and contractor’s work and review their design submissions
• Lead in the creation and maintenance of a corporate design guideline for the structural aspect, which will ensure alignment with employer requirements on a company level

Requirements

• Graduated civil engineer with a bachelor degree in structural engineering
• 6 years minimum of structural design development
• 2 years minimum in a position of senior engineer or team leader
• At least two completed complex construction projects from concept adaptation stage to the completion
• Applied knowledge of Tekla or other structural modelling and calculations software, Revit compatible is preferable
• Applied knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks
• Professional level of English (C1) and Spanish / Portuguese

Considered as an advantage :

• experience in bionic, generative patterns, parametric and computational design
