Job summary

ICEYE in Valencia is seeking a Staff Structural Analysis Engineer to lead structural analysis and ensure satellite integrity from launch to on-orbit operations. You will define requirements, lead trade studies, design reviews, and deliver qualification documentation within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience leading structural analysis efforts.
• Experience designing satellite structures or complex electromechanical systems.
• Deep understanding of mechanical stress, vibration, and thermal effects on space structures.
• Strong expertise in finite element analysis (FEA).
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MIL.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Define structural requirements from mission and launcher constraints to system and subsystem levels.
• Lead and contribute to trade studies, design reviews, and verification/qualification documentation.
• Ensure smooth and timely product delivery from concept through qualification.
• Drive continuous improvement of structural design and analysis methods.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, AIT, and quality teams for launch and on-orbit environments.
• Work with system and subsystem engineers to define requirements for new products.
• Support integration, validation, and issue resolution across teams.
