Lever, Inc. is partnering to fill a Senior Staff Engineer – Payments role in Spain. You will lead the Payments squad, define architecture, coach engineers, and own delivery outcomes while balancing speed, quality, and cost.

This is a hands-on leadership position shaping foundational payment infrastructure for a fast-moving tech company with a remote-first culture and strong focus on performance, scalability, and collaboration.

Formación

• Senior technical leadership experience leading a payments-focused squad.
• Hands-on engineering background with architecture and design documentation.
• Ability to coach engineers and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Experience shaping scalable, resilient payments infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Own delivery outcomes for the Payments squad and establish engineering standards.
• Write technical specifications, review architecture decisions, and contribute code.
• Define technical strategy for the payments domain and drive performance improvements.
• Balance speed, quality, resilience, and cost as the platform scales.
• Coach junior engineers and support hiring and growth within the team.
