A leading company in cloud services is seeking a Public Cloud SRE to enhance their OpenStack-based networking solutions. This role involves improving network architecture, collaborating with various technical teams, and implementing best practices. Candidates should possess strong expertise in SDN technologies, programming, and DevOps.

Formación

• Knowledge of SDN technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, VXLAN, BGP).
• Experience in building, managing, and troubleshooting complex IT infrastructures.
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices and CI/CD automation tools.

Responsabilidades

• Improve and refine architecture and source code of Neutron deployment.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver aligned solutions.

As a Public Cloud SRE focusing on SDN (Neutron), you will play a key role in driving the evolution and reliability of our OpenStack-based networking solutions.

• Ensure the performance and scalability of network infrastructure for our Clients.
• Deliver core projects while collaborating with the technical teams.
• Innovate and contribute to the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with security and scalability goals.

Your main responsibilities :

• Improve and refine both architecture and source code of existing Neutron deployment within our OpenStack infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and optimization.
• Collaborate with product owners, security and infrastructure teams to deliver aligned and robust solutions.
• Continuously monitor emerging technologies and share advancements across the organization.
• Promote DevOps best practices and maintain high code quality standards. Identify automation and optimization opportunities to enhance stability and performance.

Your future impact

In 6 months

• Gain a clear understanding of the existing OpenStack environment and internal processes.
• Get familiar with the team's workflows, coding standards and deployment pipelines.
• Establish solid working relationships with team members
• Begin contributing to smaller improvements or optimizations

And in 1 year :

• Contribute to core product roadmap features for existing components
• Maintain high standards of security and compliance across the entire network perimeter.
• Collaborate with the OpenStack community.

Required Skills :

• Advanced networking - knowledge about SDN technologies. and underlying protocols (TCP / IP, VXLAN, BGP etc).
• Python (or GO) programming knowledge
• OpenStack knowledge - understanding of architecture with a strong focus on SDN (if possible Neutron - L2 / L3, ML2 plugins etc).
• Open vSwitch (OVS) knowledge
• HAproxy knowledge
• DevOps experience with CI / CD automation pipelines including GIT-based tools
• Building, managing and troubleshooting large and complex IT infrastructures.
