Overview

We currently have an opportunity for a talented Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our EMEA F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions organization. This is a sales and technical role focused on customers and partners within the XC sales organization. The Specialist SE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and knowledge around F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions.

To be effective, an SE needs excellent technical skills and knowledge of F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions and the related ecosystem. We provide training and certification to help develop these skills.

The high-level objective is to achieve sales targets and promote relevant F5 solutions tailored to our customers’ needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Manager. From the customer’s perspective, the SE is a trusted adviser who understands their technical and business challenges and proposes effective solutions. The SE presents not only technical features but also the business benefits of F5 solutions.

What you’ll do
  • Work on opportunities within your region, providing technical expertise.
  • Advocate and demonstrate thought leadership for F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions to build trust and credibility.
  • Collaborate with other solution engineers and business leaders to share ideas, identify customer pain points, and recommend appropriate solutions.
How you’ll do it
  • Leverage knowledge of cloud-native solutions, microservices, containers, automation, and orchestration.
  • Promote F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions effectively.
  • Apply structured methodologies combining business and technical skills to deliver solutions.
  • Build trust and credibility with colleagues and clients.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience with cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, GCP, or other public clouds, including multi-cloud design.
  • CI/CD experience with tools like GitOps, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with cloud deployment tools such as GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Software development experience in Go, Python, Ruby, or scripting languages.
  • An attitude of proactive problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
