Senior Solution Architect

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Units and Developer Team to bring the product roadmap to life.
• Provide early opinion on technical feasibility and viability of product ideas.
• Lead the development and execution of solution demos to make the Digital Payments Product more tangible.
• Establish and advocate Architecture Principles supporting decoupling, scalability, distributed processing, microservices, domain-driven design, performance, security, and event-driven architecture.
• Define the high-level logical architecture (system design) of the product, align to architecture principles, and build consensus on architectural solutions.
• For new product offerings, contribute to epic elaboration, define use-cases, evaluate trade-offs, produce architecture artifacts (C4 model) and system design documentation, and identify service interactions and flow-level architecture.
• Engage deeply with dependent domains to ensure seamless integration adhering to domain-driven design principles.
• Lead business-unit level engagements from the solution implementation side.
• Although this is an individual contributor role, leadership of assigned developers contributing to the Digital Payments Product is required.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We’re not seeking perfection, but if you meet some of these requirements you’ll be a strong fit:

• Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated experience in software architecture and system design.
• Proven history of designing enterprise-grade applications following domain-driven design, microservices, event-driven systems, cloud-native principles, API design, and eventual consistency.
• Exposure to cloud, messaging middleware, monitoring tools, authentication/authorization, gRPC, REST, and various persistence and caching technologies; frontend stack experience is a plus.
• Experience with technologies such as Java, REST, Spring Boot, Kafka, NATS, gRPC, NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra), Postgres, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, React, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment, swift decision-making, attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven history in payments industry and payment services solution development.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Excellent English skills.
