Howrecruit has been retained to manage the search for a Senior Product Engineer on behalf of a profitable, bootstrapped e-marketplace start-up in the services space. This is a rare opportunity to shape a widely-used, customer-facing platform by working in a lean, engineering-led environment that values results over screen time and impact over process.
We're looking for a Senior / Staff Product Engineer (or Engineering Leader) who still loves to build. You'll lead the development of high-impact features, working closely with design and product to define and deliver exceptional user experiences. Lead end-to-end product development using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL Migrate legacy frontend code to a modern hybrid stack You’ve led projects from concept to production in a tech or product-led company You’ve worked closely with cross-functional stakeholders (product, design, ops) to define and deliver impactful features You're confident in React and TypeScript, and ideally have worked with GraphQL You build with quality, performance, and accessibility in mind You might be a Senior Engineer, Staff+, EM, Director, or VP. Experience with React Native is a nice-to-have, but not required Bonus : experience with backend APIs (especially in Python) or a willingness to dive in
