Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re fulfill its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Software Java Developer, you'll own the design and technical implementation of new customer access management self-service features, coach junior colleagues, and contribute to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a DevSecOps team. You'll work in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and office.

About the team

You'll become part of Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM), responsible for developing solutions that facilitate and control access of B2B partners to Swiss Re's applications and services. We are part of the Security Team, which handles cybersecurity engineering, operations, governance, risk, and compliance, and defines the company's security strategy.

We're seeking a highly experienced software engineer passionate about shaping the future of access management by designing and implementing backend solutions. A proactive professional who enjoys creating innovative solutions.

In your role, you will…

• Believe in continuous innovation and seek better ways every day
• Design and implement features for our Customer Access Management landscape
• Ensure designs align with architecture and security standards
• Collaborate with QA to ensure reliability and availability
• Contribute to documentation and DevOps support
• Mentor less experienced colleagues

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience, including complex projects in large organizations
• Experience with Java development
• Knowledge of SPA components using OIDC and OAuth2.0 over backends
• Understanding of non-functional requirements like reliability, performance
• Good communication skills in English

Nice-to-have skills

• Knowledge of multi-tier, microservice, Spring, RESTful applications, cloud, containers
• Experience with .NET framework
• Azure-based application development experience
• Experience with agile and DevOps practices
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent

Additional information
