A dynamic travel tech company in Lérida is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Product and Development team. You will build backend services for a web-based product, develop scalable systems, and integrate 3rd party APIs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in building complex products using Go, C++, Java, or PHP, and is comfortable with asynchronous programming. This role offers a permanent contract with the possibility to work remotely or in Barcelona, along with a competitive salary and flexible benefits.

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles building technically complex products.

You will work with our product team to design, implement and validate our product development to become the preferred brand for travellers and accommodations all over the world and the best way to connect for both of them.

The Product and Development team at Stayforlong is a forward-thinking group of technical professionals, devoted to crafting innovative solutions and streamlining our platform to create the best user experience.

Our team consists of skilled product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and data scientists. Main job responsibilities are:

- Build backend services for a web-based product in an Agile environment.
- Develop and scale distributed systems.
- Design, implement and test your solutions.
- Integrations with 3rd party APIs.

What you will bring:

- 5+ years of experience in similar roles building technically complex products in Go, C++, Java or PHP.




- Comfortable with asynchronous programming techniques: streams, task queues, message queues.
- Soft skills: Collaborative, proactive, resolutive, analyst.

Valuable:

- Strong Go language knowledge.
- Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- Experience working with data-driven products.
- Experience with cloud computing in general and AWS in particular.
- Fluent in English.

Our tech stack:

- Go, PHP7.4 and JavaScript, although new team members have joined with backgrounds in Java, Kotlin or Python.
- Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
- Datadog, Graylog, and New Relic.
- Ansible, Jenkins, Slack, and Git.
- Docker and AWS.
