We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a project in the green energy industry.

Our client is one of the leading green energy companies in the UK. You will be part of the Energy Retail platform’s team. This is a SaaS technology platform that aims to revolutionize the operating platforms for energy retailers globally. This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by clients’ customers.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, proactive, and good attention to detail.

What you will do

• You will be joining the Home Moves team, where you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions that improve customer interactions and account management processes.
• Take ownership of both new feature development (primarily in TypeScript) and ongoing maintenance of legacy systems (mostly in Scala).
• Help redesign and extend the current service architecture with a focus on scalability and customer impact.
• Solve ad-hoc issues and respond to live incidents in a fast-paced environment.
• Support the integration and use of Kafka as a core part of the event-driven architecture.
