Senior Software Engineer - Technical Lead (Madrid, On-Site)

Are you a hands-on senior software engineer who thrives on ownership and wants to lead by example?

We're hiring technical leaders, not just senior developers, to take charge of the architecture, delivery, and mentoring of a growing in-house engineering function. This is your chance to work on meaningful, high-impact systems used across global operations, all while staying close to the code.

Location: Madrid - 5 days on-site per week
Tech Stack: .NET, Azure, containers, Angular/React, modern CI/CD

What You'll Be Doing

1. Leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable backend systems using .NET.
2. Implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns and collaborating with frontend developers using Angular or React.
3. Acting as Scrum Master and driving product delivery from sprint planning to deployment.
4. Writing high-quality, clean, testable code and reviewing your team's output.
5. Coaching and mentoring developers, growing capability and cohesion across the team.
6. Working with Azure services and containerized environments for modern deployments.
7. Collaborating with product managers, QA, and engineering stakeholders to translate complex needs into technical solutions.
8. Keeping documentation up to date and ensuring architectural clarity.

What We're Looking For

1. 8+ years in software development, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
2. Strong proficiency in .NET and container-based architecture.
3. Solid understanding of Frontend frameworks (Angular/React) and backend integration using BFF principles.
4. Experience with Azure cloud services and modern development practices.
5. A proven ability to lead by doing - someone who inspires through action, not just delegation.
6. Comfortable owning delivery and acting as the glue between product and engineering.
7. Fluent English; experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
