Atradius is a global provider of credit insurance, Surety, Collections and business information services, with a strategic presence in over 50 countries. The products offered by Atradius protect companies around the world against the default risks associated with selling goods and services on credit. Our request:

Atradius IT is building a Platform Engineering capability to better serve our internal engineering teams. As part of this, we are delivering an internal SDK and a suite of standardized libraries for Java Spring Boot applications—designed to solve common concerns in a consistent, scalable way.

One of the concerns we handle is Observability. We’re looking for an experienced Spring Boot engineer with a strong understanding of the Observability space to help shape and implement this capability.

Office location is Amsterdam, Cardiff or Madrid.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement production ready services with the help of Spring Boot & Java
• Integrate with large databases, REST APIs, security components & observability solutions
• Collaborate with other software development teams, architects and system administrators to support them as they integrate existing applications with our libraries
• Provide technical support and resolve incidents related to our services
• Own and maintain clear, accessible documentation for internal users
• Actively contribute to our internal developer experience by promoting best practices and shared standards

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Software engineer delivering Spring Boot solutions within an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of observability standards and tools, particularly OpenTelemetry, the Elastic Common Schema (ECS), the Elastic (ELK) stack, and Micrometer for metrics instrumentation
• Hands-on experience implementing secure APIs and user access controls using Spring Security
• Knowledge of Azure
• Ability to take ownership and to work autonomously within an end-to-end perspective
• Strong communication skills, solution driven and highly motivated
• Proactive attitude, co-operative approach and willingness to work in a team
• Excellent language skills in English, other languages are an advantage
• Bachelor or Master in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or equivalent work experience.
