GFT Technologies SE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain a cloud-native data processing platform. You will work on scalable backend services across AWS and GCP, handling data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

You will collaborate with architects and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software, implement secure cloud-based auth, and ensure reliability and performance. Mentoring peers and strong testing are expected.

• Proficient in Scala with sbt build management.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Experience with cloud data processing on AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Knowledge of JSON serialization/deserialization using Circe.
• Experience with distributed systems and backend services.
• Proficiency with Git and modern software workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field, 4+ years in backend/data platforms.

Job description_About the Role_We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a modern, cloud-native data processing platform. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient services that process and manage large volumes of data across AWS and GCP environments.

You will work closely with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that support mission-critical data ingestion, transformation, and analytics workloads. A day in this role_Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala.

Build and enhance distributed systems that process large-scale data workloads.

Develop integrations with cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using cloud-native identity services. Build and maintain data pipelines supporting ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.

Ensure system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments.

Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, component, and integration testing.

The expertise requested_Strong proficiency in Scala and experience with sbt for build management.

Solid understanding of functional programming principles and best practices.

Experience with JSON serialization and deserialization frameworks such as Circe.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend engineering, data platforms, or data-intensive systems. Experience with Finagle or similar RPC frameworks.

Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and workflow management tools.

Experience deploying and operating applications in Kubernetes environments.

Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud-native architectures.

Experience building highly observable and resilient data processing systems. Desired or nice to have expertise_Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Effective verbal and written communication.

Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment. Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
