Equifax, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You will design and build data pipelines, create datasets, and develop automations within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

With moderate supervision, manage project progress, metadata, and execution. You will analyze problems, identify root causes, and propose practical resolutions to internal stakeholders. This role emphasizes collaboration and strong problem-solving in a regulated data environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools.
• Intermediate English language proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will focus on designing and building data pipelines, creating datasets, and developing automations within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• With moderate supervision, manage project progress, metadata collection, development, and overall execution.
• Perform investigations on internal and external stakeholder queries under the high-level direction of the Team Leader.
• Analyze problems, identify root causes, formulate findings/observations, suggest resolutions, and communicate them to internal/external stakeholders with moderate guidance from the Team Leader.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry regulatory requirements (e.g., reporting mandates, concepts, procedures, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks). Support internal/external queries regarding data standards.
• Enter and maintain accurate information within the documentation repository.
• Follow established security protocols and actively identify and report potential vulnerabilities.
• Perform intermediate-level data quality checks following established procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Proven proficiency in Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related role—specifically building and maintaining data pipelines, troubleshooting issues, ingesting/transforming data, designing and implementing complex data models, and optimizing performance.
• Intermediate English language proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud Certification (preferably GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Aha!, and Git.
• Strong self-motivation with the ability to communicate and present complex technical solutions to diverse audiences (executives, managers, clients, or third parties).
• Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
• Fast learner with a versatile, reliable approach to solving new technical challenges.
