Senior Software Engineer - Data Solutions

Location: Madrid, Warsaw | Workload: 80-100% | Reference: 6874

Are you ready to work at SIX and join the world of Finance and IT? As a Senior Software Engineer, you will look after all of our services regarding data warehouse and surrounding systems for our internal customers at SIX. This ranges from ensuring the stable operation of our systems and advising our internal customers to implementing new solutions in the context of changes and projects in this area. You enjoy working in an agile setup with customers and data and are able to analyze complex issues, derive knowledge based on them, and visualize them in an understandable manner. Then take the opportunity and work with us to shape the future of our fast-growing reporting services.

What you will do:

• Extend, optimize and maintain our data warehouse and design and create DataMarts for our internal customers.
• Create, extend, optimize and maintain our ETL processes for our services.
• Monitor and operate our reporting system landscape.
• Consult and support internal customers with their data and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, and other stakeholders to develop stable, performant, secure, and compliant solutions.

What you bring:

• University degree in IT, business informatics, or similar; Master's is beneficial.
• Several years of experience in ETL pipelines, databases, and BI tools like Tableau & PowerBI.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash); Java expertise is required.
• Experience with server OS (Windows / Linux), backend APIs, and cloud environments (DevOps, Databricks) is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required; German, Spanish, or Polish language skills are a plus.
