A leading consulting firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead data governance initiatives. This role includes driving the Data Quality framework, guiding technical teams, and ensuring the implementation of automation processes. Candidates should possess extensive experience in software architecture, data governance, and critical thinking skills, with a need for on-site presence at the AXA offices in Barcelona twice a week.

Descripción del empleo

Lead data governance initiatives within AXA Partners' central data management team.

Drive the rollout of AXA Partners' Data Quality framework.

Support the implementation and enhancement of Data Management KPIs and related activities.

Guide 50 Technical Leads across different teams to implement DevOps automation processes.

Set up one-on-one meetings with each Tech Lead to explain the required steps.

Instruct them on how to provide evidence of task completion (e.g., screenshots, data logs).

Follow up with each Tech Lead to ensure implementation is completed.

Collaborate with the DevOps Lead to resolve technical issues as needed.

Track progress and report regularly to ensure timely completion by all teams.

Remote

Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer designing complex solutions across diverse systems.

Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and SOLID principles.

Extensive experience using GitHub Copilot, including a critical evaluation of its pros and cons.

Ability to write usage guidelines for GitHub Copilot and advise on best practices.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

Strong interpersonal skills: effective communication, autonomy, persistence, and proactivity.

Must be based in Barcelona or able to relocate.

Availability to work on-site at AXA offices (c / Tarragona, 161) every Wednesday and Thursday.

Immediate availability (ASAP).

Experience in data governance or data quality KPI projects.

Ability to coordinate technical teams without direct authority.

Experience in training and individually supporting technical profiles.

Strong skills in documentation and reporting.

Familiarity with corporate environments in the insurance or financial sectors.

Local residency in Barcelona or surroundings.
