Runware is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to turn ambitious ideas into production systems that delight developers and deliver business impact. You’ll work across the stack—from backend APIs and orchestration to SDKs and developer tools—owning outcomes from design to delivery.

You’ll collaborate across the company to build robust, scalable systems. The role requires leadership, strong PHP or Go skills, and a track record shipping backend services and APIs in distributed environments.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed, high-performance systems.
• Strong programming skills in PHP or Go.
• Proven track record delivering scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Understanding of asynchronous workloads, queues, and streaming data.
• Experience with cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Excellent system design, performance, and scalability skills.
• Clear communicator who leads projects and collaborates across teams.
• Mentoring others to raise engineering standards.
• Proactive problem-solver balancing short-term progress with long-term vision.
• Must be in European time zone.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core systems powering Runware's AI platform.
• Build and evolve backend APIs, SDKs, and developer tools for seamless AI integration.
• Integrate and optimise image and video models, supporting modalities like audio and custom LLMs.
• Architect scalable, reliable systems for inference orchestration and workload optimisation.
• Partner with platform and infra teams to improve performance, reliability, and observability.
• Shape technical direction through architectural discussions and long-term planning.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews to foster excellence.
• Contribute to documentation, tooling, and SDKs to enhance developer experience.
• Drive initiatives to improve how we build, deploy, and maintain the platform.
