Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer role at Phiture.
Hi, we're Phiture — the mobile growth consultancy working with the teams behind leading apps like Adobe, Headspace, and LEGO. We're setting the standard for growth in the brave new digital world, and we need great people to join our global team!
WHAT TO EXPECT :
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend foundation and a startup mindset to join our fast-growing Growth & Insights team. You will support and evolve two actively growing SaaS platforms: ASAI and Press Play. This is an opportunity to shape product maturity, scale features, and reduce incidents — all while maintaining creativity and autonomy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Resolve live incidents and manage stakeholder requests, especially data-related issues impacting analysts and clients.
- Build new features and evolve existing ones across ASAI and Press Play, moving both products toward greater autonomy and self-service.
- Reduce technical debt and improve system reliability through pragmatic problem-solving and robust engineering.
- Switch between reactive work (bug fixes, support) and proactive work (feature development, architectural improvements).
- Work hands-on with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL and BigQuery), ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, product managers, and team leads.
- Help build and maintain a healthy DevOps pipeline across GCP, owning incident response, app stability, and API performance.
- Contribute to team practices such as testing, documentation, and coding standards, with a strong sense of ownership.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
- 6+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development, preferably in fast-paced or startup environments.
- Experience with AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf.
- Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, async processing, scheduling tools like Composer / Airflow).
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, and React.
- Comfortable navigating cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep experience with database design and management, including MySQL or PostgreSQL, and Google BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with API design, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated testing frameworks.
- Sharp debugging skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Confidence in ownership, independent delivery, and navigating ambiguity.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU :
- Flexible remote work within your home country (EMEA), plus up to 90 days internationally.
- Up to 30 days of paid vacation annually, with additional days for special occasions.
- Quarterly bonus opportunities.
- Free mental health support through Oliva.
- Annual personal growth budget and dedicated learning hours.
- Flexible working hours.
- A vibrant Berlin office and a global team connection through events and offsites.
- Tailored career growth plans.
- Monthly home office allowance.
- Branded onboarding kit including a MacBook.
- Celebrations and recognitions for milestones.
We encourage all qualified individuals to apply, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, or religion. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building inclusive teams. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
