We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the development of our IoT projects. This role is integral to customer perception and the success of Vodafone's IoT product offerings. The ideal candidate will work with our product and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software products, ensuring we meet our revenue targets and maintain our market reputation. This position involves managing all aspects of software deployment and continuous integration, demonstrating proficiency in problem determination, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Additionally, you will identify and recommend process improvements, document and provide technical guidelines and best practices, and collaborate closely with enterprise architecture and product teams to ensure requirements are achievable and to minimize engineering costs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the development team's progress to ensure alignment with the initial design.
2. Evaluate and identify opportunities for new technology solutions or methodologies to enhance current or future products and services, including integration with legacy systems.
3. Act as a subject matter expert for selected domain environments and ecosystems.
4. Influence and build effective relationships with peers within the group, local markets, suppliers, and partners.

What you bring:

1. Solid understanding of server technologies.
2. Strong academic knowledge and professional experience in software development: Java Enterprise, Oracle 11G, Linux, Windows.
3. Software architecture understanding: design and development patterns.
4. Experience in providing and maintaining transformations and APIs for customers and partners.
5. Good understanding of Databases – Oracle, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
6. Experience with Java frameworks, SpringBoot, Spring technologies, Camunda.
7. Experience with container systems (docker) and orchestrators (docker compose, Kubernetes).
