About the role :

We are seeking a dedicated engineer to focus on our infrastructure and uptime. You will work closely with our existing platform engineer, front-end, back-end, and operations teams. Experience in scaling databases like Clickhouse and performance engineering is required.

What you will do :

1. Manage our cloud infrastructure, improve our data infrastructure globally, manage capacity, and monitor performance.
2. Ensure our databases run smoothly and securely.
3. Build infrastructure that is ultra-reliable and resistant to failures.
4. Ensure our architecture complies with and exceeds industry standards.
5. Build and manage our Kubernetes clusters worldwide.
6. Develop GitHub actions for CI, use ArgoCD for Kubernetes, and OpenTUFU for cloud resources.
7. Build and maintain our observability solutions, keeping alerts relevant and current.
8. Manage security across AWS and similar cloud providers.

About you :

1. Proficient in working with databases, optimizing performance and queries.
2. Deep understanding of secure cloud implementations on AWS, Azure, GCP.
3. Experience configuring Linux nodes for optimal performance at scale.
4. Familiar with services like AWS CDK, EKS, ASG, etc.
5. Passionate about Kubernetes and understanding how to make things scale.
6. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
7. Cost-conscious and familiar with emerging technologies like ARM-based machines.
8. Over 4 years of experience managing and securing distributed systems on cloud platforms.
9. Energetic and eager to work in a dynamic startup environment, building innovative technology from the ground up.
10. Bonus: interest in AI models.
