About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our growing team. You will lead the development and architecture of custom applications within the ServiceNow platform, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions. This is a hands-on role requiring deep platform expertise, strong integration experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of custom ServiceNow applications : intake, requirements gathering, design, build, test, release, and support.
• Own the platform’s architecture, data separation, security model, and alignment with best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations using Integration Hub, REST, SOAP, and custom APIs.
• Implement and manage workflows, business rules, notifications, and automation using Flow Designer.
• Support CI / CD pipelines, update sets, and Source Control deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues to ensure high availability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with platform updates, new features, and ServiceNow community trends.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and platform management experience.
• Implementation Specialist certification in at least 2 modules ; familiarity with ITSM, HR, SecOps, or CSM is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Scoped App Development , Integration Hub , Creator Workflows , and Service Portal .
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Unix Shell is a plus.
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and platform lifecycle (upgrades, security, performance).
• Fluent in English , both written and verbal—able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset, capable of working independently and taking ownership of solutions.
• Must be based in Spain or Portugal with eligibility to work remotely from these locations.
