Job Purpose :

Allianz Direct continues to grow, and we are looking for a talented Senior Security Engineer to join our team. We need a Senior Security Engineer who is eager to work hands-on to help accelerate and support our security initiatives.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in information security to strengthen our defenses, protect our customers' data from cyber threats, and advance our application security program.

You will be an integral part of our team, collaborating with developers in an environment that values innovation and excellence. Join us in shaping a secure future and making a meaningful impact in an exciting setting.

While we primarily seek support in defensive security and application security, we recognize that a strong combination of both is rare, especially in a DevSecOps environment. We seek a Senior Security Engineer with substantial experience in either area who is eager to integrate security into the development lifecycle and develop skills in the other, ensuring seamless collaboration between security, development, and operations teams.

Responsibilities :

1. Build and enhance our application security program, promoting secure coding practices and conducting vulnerability assessments.
2. Perform threat modeling of new services and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities before deployment, integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline.
3. Review code of critical services to support product launches, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
4. Improve our cloud-native threat detection capabilities and automate security processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
5. Support incident response efforts and collaborate with development and operations teams to foster a culture of shared security responsibility and continuous learning.

Requirements :

• University degree in Engineering Disciplines preferred.
• Strong software development experience.
• Experience in developing Application Security programs or Defensive Information Security capabilities (e.g., SOC, SIEM, log analysis, incident response).
• Experience in cloud-native environments.
• Skills in integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines and automating processes with scripting.
• Ability to communicate security issues effectively and coach technical teams on best practices.
• Knowledge of compliance with regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus.
