AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Electronic Hardware Engineer to design, develop, validate and document onboard satellite electronic systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with aerospace standards. You will work across subsystems and collaborate with multiple teams in a challenging, mission-focused environment.

The role emphasizes design of schematics/PCBs, high-speed interfaces and rigorous documentation, with involvement in environmental tests and design reviews for space agencies.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 8 years in electronic hardware design, preferably in aerospace/defense/automotive.
• Experience in multilayer PCB design and high-speed design under thermal or EMI constraints.
• Education as stated: degree in Electronic/Telecommunications/Aerospace Engineering.
• Familiarity with ECSS, DO-254, IPC.
• Strong analytical, teamwork, proactive and communicative writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Design schematics and PCBs for satellite electronic systems (power subsystems, communications, control).
• Perform simulations, signal analysis, electrical and thermal integrity.
• Participate in component selection per space standards (ECSS, MIL-STD).
• Collaborate in HW-SW system integration with software teams.
• Prepare technical documentation per aerospace standards.
• Support environmental test campaigns (EMC, vibration, thermal-vacuum).
• Collaborate with suppliers for manufacturing and assembly of electronic boards.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) with clients or agencies (ESA, NASA).
