The Role

The company seeks a Senior Sales Executive (future Chief Sales Officer) reporting to the CEO to accelerate growth in the European data storage and protection market, starting with Iberia.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and commercial knowledge of the sector and an active network among IT managers and data protection managers. You will design and execute a commercial strategy to meet targets for revenue and key account penetration in strategic sectors, focusing on large and medium-sized accounts. The role offers significant autonomy, supported by a skilled technical and pre-sales team.

This role requires extensive sales experience, particularly in acquiring new customers (hunter mindset), with comfort in consultative sales to senior managers in technology, security, and compliance.

Main responsibilities

  1. Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing, focusing on new customer acquisition for the multicloud data storage and protection platform.
  2. Develop and maintain a quality pipeline through prospecting, partner referrals, and market intelligence to achieve consistent goals.
  3. Use value-based storytelling, business cases, ROI analysis, customer references, and analyst opinions to position the solution as the preferred choice.
  4. Drive and close new opportunities, especially in mid-market accounts, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  5. Maintain accurate CRM records and provide reliable monthly forecasts for predictable revenue.

Candidate profile

  • Technical or higher education in telecommunications, IT, or engineering is desirable; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in B2B sales of high-value services.
  • Experience in technology companies, vendors, or integrators related to security, storage, and data protection.
  • Proven success in hunting and attracting new customers.
  • Experience managing the entire sales cycle, including cold calling, presentations, PoC/demos, negotiations, and closing.
  • Comfort with medium/long sales cycles involving management-level contacts (CIOs, CTOs, CSOs).
  • Experience with CRM tools for sales management.
  • Languages: fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese highly valued.
