Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for SaaS & Technology Transactions to provide practical commercial legal services in a technology-driven environment. You will draft and negotiate complex software, information licensing and data protection agreements while advising Sales, Product Management and other business teams.

The role sits in the Customers & Commercial function of the Thomson Reuters General Counsel Office, offering a hybrid work model and opportunities to impact global

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years PQE in private practice or in-house on sell-side transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS contract and commercial law.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Authorization to practice law.
• Commercial focus on privacy, data protection and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate software, SaaS and licensing agreements.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies with the team.
• Advise on legal actions and compliance for customer contracts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management and GC Office.
