Fusion Consulting is seeking an experienced Rust Developer to lead backend design and development, with gradual expansion into full-stack delivery. You will primarily build Rust services, APIs, and data models, while later contributing to frontend apps with Vue.js and Angular and supporting AWS Glue data pipelines.

The role suits a backend-focused engineer who values ownership, thrives in a polyglot codebase, and is keen to learn adjacent technologies across the stack.

Formación

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Solid production Rust experience.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals: API design, asynchronous programming, data modeling, and automated testing.
• Experience building maintainable and reliable production systems.
• Willingness to contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, technologies, and codebases quickly.
• Comfortable working across backend, frontend, and data pipeline components over time.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical deliverables.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Rust Developer to take a leading role in the design and development of reliable backend services while gradually expanding into full stack delivery.

You will work primarily with Rust, building APIs, data models, asynchronous services, and well-tested backend components. Over time, you will also contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular, as well as data pipeline components using AWS Glue.

This role is suited to a backend-focused engineer who brings strong production Rust experience, enjoys ownership, and is comfortable working in a polyglot codebase. Deep frontend expertise is not required from day one, but a willingness to learn and contribute across the stack is essential.

What You Will Be Doing:

Qualifications

Required:

• Willingness to contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, technologies, and codebases quickly.
• Comfortable working across backend, frontend, and data pipeline components over time.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical deliverables.

Preferred:

• Experience with Vue.js, Angular, React, or another modern SPA framework.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue or similar ETL and data integration tools.
• Previous experience working in a polyglot engineering environment.
• Interest in growing from a Rust-focused backend role into broader full stack responsibilities.
