This role is based in Europe, and all candidates must live in and be able to work in Europe without sponsorship.

Position:

SignalWire is looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in Europe with advanced Ruby on Rails skills. This position is responsible for backend development of all business logic, UI/UX APIs, REST APIs, billing, and related systems. We seek someone who can quickly learn our codebase and contribute meaningfully within a short timeframe.

Responsibilities:

• Backend coding of all business logic: UI/UX APIs, REST APIs, billing, and related systems.
• Mentoring other developers through code reviews and one-on-one sessions.
• Collaborating with product management to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Working independently and collaboratively on projects.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on development experience in Ruby on Rails.
• Extensive experience with billing, asynchronous, and rapid-scaling systems.
• Experience working on large distributed systems.
• Ability to generate specifications from business requirements and execute on time.
• Leadership skills and willingness to support team needs.
• Experience working remotely and communicating effectively with a global team.
