Sulzer Pumps Spain S.A. in Madrid is seeking a Senior Accountant (RTR) to elevate our Record to Report processes. You will collaborate with multiple countries and a diverse set of stakeholders, ensuring IFRS compliance and accurate general ledger reporting.

In this role you will lead complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and period-end closes, while optimizing RTR processes with ERP systems and BPO partners. Fluent English is required, French is a plus.

Formación

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 4-5 years of accounting experience with focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and management skills.
• Attention to detail and integrity in financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills for delivering insights to senior leadership.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or iScala) and accounting software.
• Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
• Experience with Tagetik, Coprocess and Qlik Sense is a plus.
• Proficiency in English. French is a big plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a key member of the RTR team in the CoE, providing expert support on ad hoc topics and complex accounting issues.
• Support with complicated financial booking activities, ensuring accuracy and IFRS compliance.
• Manage complex clearing, including reconciliations and adjustments, to maintain accurate records.
• Utilize advanced ERP knowledge to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support the Global Process Owner with the definition of RTR processes and system implementation.
• Oversees and governs the chart of accounts and hierarchies, reflecting the current structure.
• Collaborate with local Finance Teams and Shared Services / BPO providers.
• Coordinate with Finance Shared Services to ensure transactions are properly accounted.
• Support period end close, including AR/AP subledger reconciliation and GL close.
• Prepare complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Contribute to RTR process improvements; maintain policies and templates.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and followed; support audits.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Perform Year End Closing activities (carry forward, number ranges, AA close).
• Support intercompany reconciliation in Coprocess and Tagetik.
