Job summary

Helsing seeks a production-focused engineer in Barcelona to bridge prototype designs to scalable robotic production. You will implement DFM and DFA across CNC, sheet metal, plastics, and additively manufactured parts, ensuring robust processes and cost-efficient outcomes.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and quality teams to deliver repeatable, high-quality output while driving improvements in efficiency and yield.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering manufacturing processes for complex mechanical/electromechanical products from prototype to mass production.
• Ability to redesign components to reduce cost while maintaining performance; experience with high-mix, low-to-medium volume environments.
• Experience producing manufacturing documentation including BOMs, work instructions, and drawing packages to production-grade standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition from prototype to production-ready designs applying DFM and DFA.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, BOMs and assembly procedures for scalable production.
• Specify and procure fixturing, tooling and manufacturing equipment for production readiness.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and quality teams to surface and resolve manufacturing issues early.
• Drive efficiency, quality and cost-reduction initiatives using production data.
