The Role

GTD Science, Infrastructures, and Robotics (GTD SI&R) specializes in delivering high-reliability software solutions, robotics control systems, custom electronics, and edge computing. We provide control, supervision, analysis, and decision-support systems for real-time, large-scale, and critical applications, supporting international projects such as ITER and CERN, as well as Green Power Generation companies.

Join Us

We are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to join our team in Madrid. You will develop user interfaces for robotics applications and integrate them with other systems and frameworks, contributing to the ITER project—a groundbreaking fusion energy initiative.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and test software for robotics applications, focusing on control and safety for reactor operations.
• Work within the Software Development division in the Robotics area.
• Ensure the efficient operation of robotic systems in reactor environments.
• Collaborate on integrating robotics with control systems and other applications.

Your Profile

• Bachelor/Master's in computing, industrial/electrical engineering, or telecommunications.
• Experience in software design, development, and testing across the full lifecycle.
• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Experience with robotics programming, including cinematics, interpolation, coordinate systems, and robot movements.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (Real-Time Linux, VxWorks).
• Strong familiarity with Linux environments and POSIX standards.
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and validation testing.
• Proficiency with GIT for version control.
• Minimum B2 level of English proficiency.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Haptic control experience.
• Virtual Reality platforms (Unity, RViz, etc.).
• Concurrent and multi-core programming.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Software architecture design skills.
